10 Pregnancy Must-Haves

Keeping your skin moisturized throughout your pregnancy will help with stretch marks. I highly recommend using coconut oil at least twice a day on all areas that will be growing {thighs, bottom, belly, and breasts}

9. Freezer Meals

Make freezer meal during your second trimester to help you get through the last few weeks of pregnancy. I wish I would have made more, towards the end standing just gets so hard ha ha ha!

8. Giant Maternity Pillow

Not sure how people survive pregnancy without one of these. Seriously, if you want to sleep at night… GET ONE OF THESE!!!

7. Pregnancy Journal

There are so many options out there. I searched through many and this one was my favorite. Looked forward to filling it out each week, it’s a super fun and cute one. Having a pregnancy journal to look back on is wonderful.

6. Maternity Cami

When my belly started growing I noticed most of my shirts were getting shorter and shorter in the front. I wanted to keep wearing some so I’d wear a cami underneath, but those started getting too short too. I bought 2 maternity camis from Target and I LOVE THEM. I even wore them after my pregnancy. They’re super stretchy and long.

5. Maternity Compression Tights

Especially if you’re standing a lot these can ease the discomfort and swelling of varicose veins, and might help prevent future problems. I taught third grade all the way to 40 weeks with Harper and I was sooo thankful for my tights.

4. Easy-to-grab Snacks

Having easy access to snacks is great for so many reasons, helps avoid nausea, keeps your metabolism going and helps avoid the crazy “starved” scary pregnant lady from surfacing.

It’s great to have snacks by the bed too, just in case you wake up hungry in the middle of the night {happened so much when I was pregnant with Harper!}.

3. Belly Band

Get a black & white one and you’re set! These are amazing for the first few months, because you can keep wearing your “normal” clothes.

2. Maternity Underwear

Cozy, stretchy underwear that does cutoff tummy circulation when you sit? YES PLEASE!

 

1. WATER BOTTLES!!!!!

So important to drink water while pregnant. Something that has helped me keep up with drinking water is having a filled water bottle with me at all times. While pregnant with Harper, I was teaching still, so I would fill up two 24oz bottles to drink and refill while at school.
