HorsePower For Kids

So much of my childhood was spent at my uncle’s farm, cleaning stalls, feeding animals, training horses, preparing for horse shows and teaching children how to ride. Animals, horses especially, have been a huge part of my life. After accepting Jesus as my savior, at age 14, my eyes were opened to the true beauty of these animals. Horseback riding was never the same for me after this because I saw and felt God so much when I was riding my horse and when I looked at his creation. Every time I look at the details of a peacock feather, the design of a horse made to carry, the water proof duck feathers and their awesome webbed feet, I cannot help but give all the glory to God.

God is such an amazing and detailed creator. Thanks to my uncle, I had the opportunity to live so much of my life interacting with God’s wonderful creation, seeing His glory and beauty in each unique creature. My uncle and his farm have impacted and blessed my life greatly! I know I am just one out of hundreds & thousands impacted over the years.

Recently, Peter and I, were able to take some of our friends for a visit/ mini-vaycay and it was a blast! If you are ever in the Tampa Bay area you should stop by HorsePower for Kids to see beautiful exotic animals, ride a horse , hold baby ducks and enjoy God’s creation. It’s a great place for people and families of all ages.

HorsePower for Kids is non-profit organization who provides a farm and petting zoo for people who would benefit from interaction with animals and horses.

Genesis 1:20-25

20 And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds[a] fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.” 21 So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.

24 And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds—livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so. 25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

  1. Molly!!! OMG I can’t believe how grown up you are now!!

I love Armondo! I too feel like my life was so blessed and joyful because of all the days I spent at Hire A Pony. My favorite memories involve all of us kids staying the night there and going on night time trail rides down to the bay, taking Astro to downtown for carriage rides, and of course going to shows. It’s hard to believe we’re all grown up now. I’ve been blessed to keep Alicia as a good friend through all these years but still miss everyone else…Bobby, Gina, Tina, Ashley, Luke and everyone else. We all had some great times together thats for sure! I’m so glad to see you are doing well and have become such an amazing young woman! Please keep in touch!! xo ~ashley
