Our March Family Update

Peter and I would like to THANK all of our family and friends who have supported us through prayer, encouragement and financial support.

Without all of this support, we may have not taken this huge leap of faith! The leap of faith to follow God’s calling to seminary in preparation and training for a life of ministry and furthering the Gospel. The world tells us that we can do this life on our own and that we don’t need others.  So NOT true. We’re so thankful for the people we have been able to do life with.

So… Thank You!

Our February Family Update was a little rough but since then, things have been great! We’ve been in Orlando for about a month now and it’s starting to feel more and more like home. It’s definitely a little crazier than St. Augustine, especially the traffic! We’re slowly learning our way around without having to make as many U-turns. ha ha.

Our sweet little town home.

Besides that fact that we still can’t find the hardware to our bed, we feel pretty settled in. Sleeping on our mattress on the floor has been a fun pregnancy experience! Especially getting in and out of bed all night to use the restroom. ha ha. Totally not complaining, it’s just funny.

Questions we’ve been asked a lot:

How does Peter like seminary?

He is really enjoying his classes, classmates and professors. He has learned many new words that DO NOT sound like real words at all!! I love when he comes home to teach me new things. He had his first exams last week and studied like CRAZY and did great!!!!!! So proud of him. RTS has so many great opportunities for families and even student’s wives to connect. It’s been pretty SWEET!

These are Peter’s books for just ONE SEMESTER!

Have you made any friends yet?

We’re are THRILLED to share that, YES! We have made some lovely friends and feel so blessed by these developing relationships. We’re getting to know other married couples and actually feel giddy when we’ve been invited to spend time with them! ha ha ha! God created us to live life with others, so without new friends in town life could be lonely! Peter is getting to know his classmates and even neighborhood college students. Harper and I met some sweet mommas and babes at a local MOPS meeting and we are loving weekly play-dates with our new friends and their babies.

One of our play dates, a walk in the park. Harper’s babysitting while the mommas take a bathroom break!

Have you found a church yet?

We have had so much fun visiting churches in town and are planning on checking out a few more. As you can imagine, Orlando has many many GREAT choices. We are praying to join a church that shares the Gospel EVERY SUNDAY, has a welcoming children’s ministry and family small groups.

How are the babies?

Harper is doing great, growing soooo FAST! Thinking about her first birthday, which is just weeks away, makes me want to cry. I cannot believe my little love bug is going to be ONE. I am NOT READY FOR PROM OR BOYFRIENDS OR GRANDCHILDREN but at this rate I’ll blink and we’ll be there! Trying to soak up each and every moment with her. She’s enjoying the new place, loves playing outside, going on walks and dancing! And she LOVES her daddy!! She went from calling him Dada to lately she just says Daaa. It’s so CUTE!

She’s gotten a lot of use out of her first pair of shoes.

Baby #2 is a GIRL! YAY! We still do not have a name picked out but we’re coming up with new ones everyday. Feel free to send us your favorite baby girl names. Baby girl #2 is healthy and active. We love feeling her kicking and moving during her little dance parties. Watching my belly bounce around is still such a crazy sight. She is due mid July.

Prayer Requests

-Our Marriage, that it would continue to strengthen and flourish during this very busy season.

-Finding a family friendly Gospel centered church

-Nanny opportunity for Molly (I would love to continue watching little ones for working mommas)

-Job opportunity for Peter

-The health of both our little ones

God is so good and we are so thankful for this wonderful opportunity and whole experience. Pray that God will grows us and use us in any way He pleases. We long to glorify Him through all areas of our lives.

Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship.  Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Thank you for your prayers and thank you so much for reading our March family update. Please let us know if there is anyway we can be praying for YOU!
