Making meal plans and writing grocery lists and then going grocery shopping… Not my favorite. But I still do it every single week.

Why write a meal plan?

Well, if I didn’t make a meal plan every morning and evening would be chaos in my family. It stresses me out having to search the fridge and pantry for items to complete a meal. Making a meal plan each week removes the daily stress of figuring out what to cook and helps meal times go a little smoother.

Since I am already making a weekly meal plan with a corresponding grocery list I figured I’d share it to make someone else’s life easier.

Weekly Meal Plan #1

Baked-Oatmeal-RecipeBreakfast:
Strawberry Baked Oatmeal {For this meal, I omitted the sugar and chocolate chips. I wanted it to be healthier for my little. I added a little organic honey in my individual bowl.}
Banana Oatmeal Breakfast muffin
*For breakfast during the week I try to make muffins, casseroles, quiches or something that will last us a few days. I also always have yogurt and fruit around.

Lunch: I try to make enough dinner each night to have left overs for lunch. And sometimes I’ll make some kind of simple quiche or quinoa casserole to last for few lunches.

Dinner:
One Skillet Creamy Pasta
Cheesy Chicken and Rice Bake
Avocado Basil Pasta {This is one of our FAVORITE recipes I’ve been making for my hunny since our first year of marriage!}
Slow Cooker Pork Carnitas { You’re bound to have a crazy bust day this week. This recipes is perfect for that day, throw everything in the crockpot and wa-la}
PF Changs Lettuce Wrap
Grilled Chicken Cilantro Vinaigrette Salad

  1. I do this but it’s my least favorite thing to do! (Especially the grocery shopping part!) So I slack off a lot of weeks. I love that you have made it easier for me if I want to just copy! 😉 P.S. I have made that strawberry banana baked oatmeal before and it is soooo good! 🙂 I’ve been posting my meal plans on pinterest, but I should blog them too…maybe then I would stick to them better! 😉 Great post!   2. We always try to make a meal plan every Sunday and then do the shopping, but we always make sure to pick up a frozen pizza or have some other easy dinners on hand since we both work. Your meal plan looks great, especially the baked oatmeal. Yum! (Visiting from the Blog Love tribe.)
